A PART OF THE NATIONAL RENEWAL

K-Citymarket is Kesko Corporation’s hypermarket chain. K-Citymarket offers its customers a wide range of food products and everyday goods. The chain has 81 stores.

The K-Citymarket chain operates in close cooperation with independent retailer entrepreneurs. The hypermarket concept of the chain and almost all K-Citymarkets will be renewed in 2015–2019.

ADDITIONAL REQUESTS IMPLEMENTED IN A HEARTBEAT

Brand ID was also involved in the previous renewal of K-Citymarket Nokia. Now the company was selected through competitive tendering to implement the overall renewal.

“I knew that Brand ID has what it takes. It was also a logical choice in terms of price and schedule. The quote corresponded closely to the final total amount of the implementation.

After choosing Brand ID, I didn’t really have to interfere with anything. We came up with some additional requests and they were mostly implemented on the spot. A photo or two were changed, but everything worked out well and on schedule,” says merchant Juha Viinikka.

CAREFUL PLANS GO A LONG WAY

In the project, all signs and graphics in the outdoor and indoor areas of the store were replaced.

Viinikka names Brand ID’s ability to flexibly do things in the order that the progress of the project requires as the secret of effective cooperation. Additional needs are also manufactured and delivered quickly.

The complete renewal of the store will be carried out in a few months, and over 50 people will be working on the renovation.

“Initiative and action in accordance with the pre-plan is essential in the context of a major renewal. Brand ID made the plans carefully, and I trusted them as professionals to know what they were doing. This allowed me to focus on my work with confidence.

The store was open the whole time, so everything had to be scheduled and routed in order to minimise disruption. Fortunately, I knew beforehand that this would not be a problem with Brand ID,” says Viinikka.
